Come see me on the Montgomery County Studio Tour on September 18-19, 2021

Studio #10: 601 Chain Street, Studio 6, Norristown, PA

Hours: Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM & Sunday 11 AM - 5 PM

Come see me in September at Studio #10Montgomery County Studio Tour creates a two-day event to showcase, highlight and share regional artists with art connoisseurs, collectors, and curious neighbors. It is a unique experience to visit the studios of artists that you have long admired or just encountered. This year, including my own studio in Norristown, there are 16 studios and 29 artists on the tour. The Studio Tour is a casual way to introduce yourself to the arts and become immersed in the creative talent scattered throughout Montgomery County. Visit www.countystudiotour.com for more details.

This year, I will host guest artists Amy Bruckner (mosaics) and Albena Pashova (acrylics) at my space. Albena will also be doing a painting demo at 2 PM on Saturday.

In addition to having the opportunity to see and purchase art, as well as talk with me and my guests about our work, there are other cool extras included on the studio tour. These are:

1. County Collector

AN UNIQUE ARTWORK AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY FOR $75

Every year participating artists are asked to create one unique 6- x 6-inch piece of original art and sell it for $75. County Studio Tour wants to make art affordable for everyone and wants to show that art can be everywhere. Whether this is your first time buying original art or you are a seasoned collector, the tour has something for everyone. In some instances, a favorite artist might be out of someone's price range, but with the County Collectors Club, art is within reach. Some art enthusiasts are out of wall space yet enjoy the thrill of adding new art to their collection. This becomes possible with the County Collectors Club since the pieces are considered small.

All the pieces are uniform in size and framed with a simple, elegant black frame. To assure quality and uniqueness, all pieces will have a specially-marked certificate printed on the back commemorating the year's studio tour. County Studio Tour askes the artist to create only one commemorative piece of art, so plan your day and get out early to ensure you have art on your walls by Monday!

My 2021 County Collector - “Under a Purple Sky” - My artwork for the studio tour is created with ink and acrylic on hardboard panel.

2. Vote & Win County Cash

Map & Location

601 Chain Street is located in Norristown, PA, within a short walk from the train station as well as nearby Main Street. The building is a mixed use space which formerly housed a hardware store. Currently there is a food market on the ground floor, apartments on the second floor, and private studios on the third floor (where studio 6 is located). There are many family-owned authenic Hispanic restaurants and other shops in this area so feel free to grab a bite to eat before or after visiting the studio. Please note, my studio can only be accessed by staircase so, unfortunately, is not handicap-accessible. There is free street parking on Chain Street and other nearby streets, as well as metered parking on Marshall Street (the nearest cross street). In addition, the metered parking is free on Sundays.

Come check out Studio #10 on the Montgomery County Studio Tour on Sept. 18-19th! Amy, Albena and I look forward to seeing you!
