October Art Newsletter

from Artist Lynnette Shelley

Happy October! It's my very favorite time of the year and I hope I can share it with you! Things have been very busy the past month. Both of my original art rock bands have been busy in the studio - Green Cathedral  just released our debut album this past month, and The Red Masqueheaded into the studio last week to start work on our fifth album.

I also had a really wonderful solo show at the Rehoboth Art League in Rehoboth, DE, (which closes October 8, if you haven't had a chance to see it yet) and got to spend a couple of days at the beach (a rarity for me).

A view of some of my artworks at the Rehoboth Art League.

However, now I am gearing up for the fall and winter. Like many artists and crafts people, the fall and winter months preceding the holiday season is our busiest time of the year. I hope I will get to share some time the next few months with you - either virtually or in person at one of my shows. As always, contact me if you wish to discuss an artwork.

FEATURED OCTOBER
ART SHOWS

SECOND ANNUAL
DELAWARE COUNTY
STUDIO TOUR

OCTOBER 21-22
Saturday 10 AM - 6 PM
Sunday 11 AM - 5 PM
Free and open to the public

Delaware County Studio Tour’s mission is to promote regional artists and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the area by presenting original artwork. This year, there are 59 artists and 19 studios involved on the tour that stretches through many of the towns in Delaware County.

I'll be a guest artist at Tour Stop. 3 at 404 South Manoa Road, Havertown, Pennsylvania.
RSVP to our facebook event page here.

At Tour Stop #3, you can join me, as well as artists Chris MacanGillian Pokalo, and Jen McCleary for the 2017 Delaware County Studio Tour.  The studio alone is worth seeing - a (possibly haunted) 19th century church and graveyard!

In addition, each of the artists on the tour has created one unique "County Collector", which is an original 6x6" artwork priced exclusively for $75 during the duration of the studio tour.  First come first served.  You can view my county collector here. For those wanting to purchase a county collector, it is advisable to get to the tour early, as these pieces often sell quickly.

For maps, FAQs, lists of all the artists on the tour and directions, go to www.delawarecountystudiotour.com.

VOTE FOR ME
I've been participating in these studio tours for a few years now (Chester County, Montgomery County and Delaware County), and they are of the most fun ways to experience art as a collector or as an appreciator. You get to meet the artists in  a relaxed and unique atmosphere and learn more about the process behind what you see on the canvas or on the panel.

I hope you'll join me at this year's Delaware County Studio Tour. And, if you're so inclined,VOTE FOR ME as your favorite artist. Winning artist gets $500 and everyone who votes get entered into a drawing to win money toward an artwork purchase. You can only vote once so make your vote count here.
