MAY MADNESS
FIVE ART SHOWS IN ONE MONTH
Spring is one of the busiest seasons for me and May is the busiest month of all. I have five art shows this month alone. I've been busy in my studio creating new work for these events so I hope that you will be able to join me for some of them.

1.
Historic Yellow Springs Art Show
OPENS THIS WEEKEND

April 28 - May 14, 2017
Historic Yellow Springs Art Show, 1685 Art School Road, Chester Springs, Pennsylvania.

Opening Gala, April 28, 6-9 PM (requires tickets, go tohttp://yellowsprings.org/about/yellow-springs-art-show/).
Public Opening, April 29, 10 AM - 4 PM. Hours: Art show open each day April 29 - May 14 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

I have twelve artworks for sale in this annual show at the historic Yellow Springs venue. There are over 3000 artworks in this year's event. I have twelve works in the show (four medium to larger sized artworks and eight miniatures). There is also a special miniatures room which contains up small works by many of the artists.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a cash and carry show - meaning as work is sold it will go off the walls, so arrive early for best viewing / selection. Also, as work is sold, more work will be put on display so there will be additional work to see on repeat visits.

This annual studio tour is one of my favorite events every year and this year I am extra excited to announce that I will be a guest artist at Ivystone Studio in Downingtown for the duration of the tour.

Ivystone will play host to four guest artists  - Heather DavisJennifer DomalLynnette Shelley and Liz Griesser - as well as Ivystone owner and glass artist Justin Smith  showcasing his work at his on-site glass studio (just down the driveway from the main gallery). Justin will also be doing  glass-making demos throughout the weekend.

We are studio 20 on the northern Chester County Tourmap.
There are 179 artists and 72 studios participating at the Chester County Studio Tour this year.

Ivystone Studio in Downingtown, PA

County Collector

All the artists participating will feature a variety of their work in addition to their "County Collector" piece.
This year's participating artists will be creating one unique 6- x 6- inch piece of original art and selling it for $75.  County Studio Tour wants to make art affordable for everyone and wants to show that art can be everywhere. Whether this is your first time buying original art or you are a seasoned collector, the tour now has something for everyone. In some instances, a favorite artist might be out of someone's price range, but now with the County Collectors Club, art is within reach. Some art enthusiasts are out of wall space yet enjoy the thrill of adding new art to their collection. This becomes possible with the County Collectors Club since the pieces are considered small.
County Collectors is not an exclusive club and there are no membership fees or dues. Just come out and enjoy our one weekend of open studios.
All the pieces are uniform in size and framed with a simple, elegant black frame. To assure quality and uniqueness, all pieces will have a specially-marked certificate printed on the back commemorating this year's studio tour. County Studio Tour is asking the artist to create only one commemorative piece of art, so plan your day and get out early to ensure you have art on your walls by Monday!

The County Collectors are currently being photographed and will be uploaded to the CCST website here shortly. In the meantime, here is a photograph I took of my own county collector.
