Feb 2014 Art News

The weather outside is frightful for many of us in the USA at the moment. The good thing about being snowbound is I have had lots of time to work on artworks and get ready for upcoming shows. And for those of you who need a break from hibernation, I have two shows going on right now in the Pennsylvania area that should warm things up for you in the area. Keep reading for details and more...... or visit www.lynnetteshelley.com/exhibitions.html for info on all of my upcoming shows.

Leviathan, 30 x 22 inches, mixed media on Aquabord. on Sale at the Malvern Retreat House Art Show

Malvern Retreat House Art Show

This is my third year in a row participating in the juried Malvern Retreat House Art Show. Prior to moving to a new venue at the Malvern Retreat House, the show was the benefit art show for Immaculata College. The organizers parted ways with Immaculata to expand the show which features hundreds of artworks priced to sell during the four day art extravaganza. Each artist brings four larger works and up to 15 miniatures (sized 9 x12 inches or under). As each artwork sells it is immediately taken down off the walls for the buyer to bring home so if you want to see all of the works on display it's best to get to the show earlier. I will have 17 artworks on display / sale at this show in a variety of price points - from $95 to $1800 (edit: one of the pieces has already sold to an early bird buyer so now there are 16. Better get to the show quickly!).
