Latest artwork plus an ancient doodle

I made one more mini yesterday, before I tackle a larger artwork. This was inspired by a stone lion outside a mausoleum in a nearby cemetery. The overall aesthetics of the cemetery was rather masonic and I thought the lion statues had a kind of Persian or maybe Abyssinian feel to them.

Secondly, while I was cleaning out my studio today, I found an old doodle in a notebook, that I believe is circa 2002. I've trashed most of my earlier artworks, but I thought this was kind of interesting. It's a sort of botanical monster. I'm currently working on creating a Tee design out of it for my Redbubble shop.
