The Return of the Red Masque
You haven’t heard from my band The Red Masque in a while as we’ve been busy reworking some things, but we’ve come out of hibernation for Spring. As such, we’d like to introduce our new guitar player, Nicholas Giannetti. You can welcome Nicholas at an upcoming benefit gig on May 7 in Philadelphia. This will be an intimate band performance as we will be playing as Red Masque “lite” (i.e. We will be performing as a three-piece with Nicholas, Brandon and myself only).
Show details are as follows:
May 7th, 2010
Germ Books and Gallery
2005 Frankford Ave.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19125
Time: 6:45pm
Cost: A donation for the continued success of important works of art.
Featuring WOMB, THE RED MASQUE, and THE EXTREMIST
Press Release from WOMB:
"WOMB will be returning to this magnificent bastion of Fishtownian academia exactly 468 days after our first performance ever! Saturn being a stark consideration within this work, and taking into account the feminine context of WOMB’s motivations, we can truly see the numerical significance of this performance's date!
Mr. David E. Williams has once again graciously offered his wonderful business as a venue for this auspicious occasion. Join us as we raise support for "The Hermit’s Glass Box", a film project being launched as we speak by the group. This independent fund-raising event will mark the official start of production. The Hermit’s Glass Box is a short film inspired by the nature of gravity, control, and domination.
Utilizing many of the diverse topics of interest that WOMB is known for incorporating into their work, abstractions are fashioned into motion, sound, color and light to dissolve and reconstruct the human perception of certain specific concepts. Come and see what lies behind the doors at Germ Books for this First Friday event.
Featuring dynamic and unique guest performances by Philadelphia Avant-Garde masterminds The Red Masque and The Extremist, this is truly an event not to be missed! "
