Latest Artwork: The Empress - Now up for Auction on Ebay!

Last night I finished up "The Empress", inspired by a challenge to create artwork for a tarot card.

"The Empress" took me about two days to complete and measures 12.5 x 19.5 inches approximately. The artwork is mixed media (liquid gold leaf, liquid silver leaf, oil pastels, colored pencils etc) on paper.

The Empress is often depicted as a Mother Earth / Gaia type of figure, with abundance surrounding her. She herself is often depicted as pregnant, and is both crowned with stars and holds a shield with the symbol of Venus upon it. In this artwork, she holds a pomegranate in her hand, while behind her is a waterfall, and a stylized field of wheat and flowers.
