Artist Spotlight: Double Parlour

I was visiting the Juxtapoz Magazine website recently, and looking through some of the "Reader Art" archives when I came across this little gem: the art of Double Parlour. From what I gather from their Etsy shop, the artwork is a collaboration between Ernie and Cassandra Velasco. The artwork series "Creatures of Habit" features beautifully rendered humanoid figures with the heads of various animals - birds, deer, etc - reminiscent of antique illustrations. I'd be interested in hearing more about the collaboration process: Does one artist create the animal heads and another the bodies? Instead of a Frankenstein result, the artwork looks seamlessly integrated despite such disparate parts.
