Sneak Peek

Currently on my drawing desk is a large 40 x 40 inches painting. It is the second largest painting I've ever worked on (the largest being 48 x 48 inches). I know some artists paint much larger than that, but with all the details I do, plus the fact I work on wood panel, which can get heavy as it gets larger, I usually like to work at 36 x 36 inches and under. However, sometimes you just need to stretch yourself, and I find winter an ideal season to take my time on a large work.

Below is a detail from this latest new painting. I usually show my artworks as they progress on my FacebookInstagramThreads and Bluesky accounts, so be sure to like and follow me there if you are able.

Thank you! Until next time…..
