Live Art Demo by Lynnette Shelley
Wednesday, February 7, Noon - 2 PM

Please join me at the Seventh Annual Malvern Retreat House Art Show. The Art Show has over 100 Juried Artists and more than 2,000 fine art pieces including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, fiber art, glasswork, and ceramics. There will also be a special featured exhibit this year of Flora and Fauna.

I will be one of the artists in the featured Flora and Fauna exhibit. I will be bringing 25 artworks with me, including 15+ small paintings for the art show's special miniature art room.

In addition, on opening day, Feb. 7, from Noon to 2 PM, I'll be doing an live art demonstration. I'll be working on a new artwork at the art show and taking questions about my process or my artwork in general from any interested attendees. On Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5-8 PM, there will be a free wine and cheese reception.

This art show is a cash and carry event, meaning as artwork sells it goes off the walls and home with the buyer, so be sure to arrive early for the most choice.

Hope to see you there!

Rock Out to Original Art Rock!

For those of you who are original music fans, you can check out Lynnette's art rock / progressive rock band, The Red Masque, when they play a show in Kennett Square, PA, on February 17. Lynnette co-founded the band in 2001 with her long-time musical partner and partner in real life, Brandon Lord Ross. The band is currently in the studio working on their fifth studio album but took a break in order to play this show. Stream a live song by The Red Masque here.

Show Details:

February 17, 2018: Echo Test featuring Julie Slick (Adrian Belew Power Trio) with Elastic Blur and The Red Masque opening. The Kennett Flash, 102 Sycamore Alley, Kennett Square, PA, Doors 7 PM, Show 8 PM. All Ages. $12 Advance, $15 at the door.

ABOUT THE RED MASQUE
Unconventional and eccentric in musical form, the sophisticatedly sinister The Red Masque fuses together such disparate musical references as progressive rock, art rock, experimental, heavy rock, gothic, psychedelia, space rock, and horror movie soundtracks. Part art, part alchemy, the group's experimental songwriting style is both angular and eerie, accented by freeform space rock improvisations, intricate acoustics, dark atmospherics and chunky riffs. Cerebral lyrics and dynamic and accomplished musicianship take The Red Masque to another musical level.
