Pictures from an Exhibition: Art of the Feminine

Today was the opening reception for "Art of the Feminine" at the Franklin Commons in Phoenixville, PA. The Franklin Commons is a business complex that has incorporated an art gallery featuring rotating art shows, as well as some permanent art and sculpture on their property. For this show, in honor of Mother's Day, the curator had a theme of femininity and what that may  mean. I brought two goddess paintings (Athene - the goddess of wisdom, and Gaia - the Greek goddess personifying the Earth) as well as "Waiting to Be Born Again" which, to me, has a very Mother Nature / elemental / rebirth / regeneration motif.
