Two New Prestigious Show Announced Including Trenton City Museum Show!

Happy Spring Everyone! Although we are still dealing with the tail end of an overly long cold winter, I have some HOT news for this spring! First of all, I am pleased to announce that my artwork "Jangala" has been accepted into the Ellarsie Open XXXI Juried Exhibition at the Trenton City Museum at Ellarsie Mansion in Trenton, NJ. The show will run May 3-June 22. Over two hundred artists from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and beyond submitted more than four hundred works to the 2014 Ellarslie Open Juried Exhibit. Because space at Ellarslie is limited, the juror selected less than 25% of the submissions — one hundred and two pieces — for the show. I am honored that one of my artworks will be on the selected. The juror for the Ellarsie show is Kelly Baum, Ph.D., who is Haskell Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Princeton University Art Museum. More info on this show below.

In addition, my work "Leviathan" was accepted into the 86th Annual International Juried Exhibition at the  Art Association of Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. This show will run May 16 - June 19, 2014. The Juror for this show is Brian Rogers, an Artist as well as the Former Deputy Executive Director, Pennsylvania Council of the Arts. Additional details on this prestigious show below.

New this year: As part of the new 'County Collectors' program, Lynnette and other artists on the tour will offer a 6 x 6 inch miniature artwork for sale for $75. Each artist will only have one "County Collector" art available so you need to get to the studio tour early to be the first to nab these mini collectibles. Lynnette's artwork is called, appropriately enough, "Early Bird" and you can see an image of it below. It is mixed media on hardboard and comes with a black frame. To see more view of this painting, or for more information, please read Lynnette's blog post on the subject.  After the Chester County Studio Tour is over, the artwork will be for sale for $115, so for those who want the artwork, it pays to be the 'early bird' at the studio tour.
