Latest Artwork: The Sacrifice

This latest artwork is inspired by the medieval folktale of the Pelican as a symbol of sacrifice. It was later adopted by early Christians a Christ-Symbol as the story told of how a mother pelican, in times of famine, would stab her own breast to feed her children with her blood, even though she would eventually die to save them. The symbol was also used as a heraldic device by European nobility.
