Happy Birthday to Me: New Gallery Launch

Happy August! August is a special month for me because not only is it my birthday, it's also the anniversary of when I launched my full-time art career. In August 2007 I decided to work for myself, and while it's not been an easy road, I feel more than happy with the decision that I made. On this, the sixth anniversary of my decision, I am happy to announce that my art career has hit another milestone. In August I am teaming up with artist friend Melanie Fisher to launch JAM Gallery in Malvern, PA.

Melanie is the owner of JAM and I am the Marketing Director as well as co-curator with Melanie. The gallery has three rooms and a studio space. One of the rooms will  permanently display work by Melanie and I, and the other room will feature rotating artwork from regional and national artists. Our inaugural exhibit is coming up on August 10 and will run through September 29. This show will feature work by Thomas Del Porte, Bernard Corman, Karen Delaney, Jay A. Grassel, Curtis Coyote, Monique Kendikian-Sarkessian, Brandon Lord Ross, Jason Lyons, Laura Green, Jeanne Petrosky and Dennis Guzenski, as well as by Melanie and I.

An editor from the Main Line Times came out to the gallery yesterday to Interview Melanie and I. Look for a store online by next Wednesday and print version of the story by Friday, August 9.
