Latest Artwork: "Red Curve, Quadrilaterals and Crane"
I have been working on this new artwork this past week; it's actually an artwork for my parents as they moved into a new house and wanted something with red in it for over their fireplace to bring the living room together and requested the artwork to be done using my mosaic style. So this is my interpretation of something with red in it, with mosaics ;) Also they live near a very cool nature preserve that has lots of marsh birds in it, such as cranes, so I thought that would be a good subject for the artwork.
I will photograph it hanging in the new space later, but in the meantime, here are some photos I took this morning. I may need to take better photos as I noticed the red 'tile' shapes in the images just looks straight red, but the actual tile colors have more nuance to them - various shades of red with speckles, swirls and gradation to them. So this looks better in person.
