Work in Progress: The Pangolin
So I've been obsessed with pangolins lately, as they are just so odd looking, and I think their scales would be really fun to draw. I just picked up some Ampersand Aquabord earlier this week, which is a new surface for me to work on. I think it might offer some unique possibilities as a happy medium between my paper-based artworks and my wood panel-based artworks. So far it has unique properties to both, but I can see lots of possibilities to try with it. I think I'm going to have to buy some more to work on.

Thanks. I just found out about pangolins last week as well and was amazed I had never heard of them before because they seem like something totally up my alley. I love drawing their scales.
Yes, I do often use coffee, tea, or red wine on some of my ink-based pieces (I think my first piece using them was in 2010)
