Latest Artwork: The Pangolin
I finished up my latest artwork last night. Overall I am pretty happy with how the Aquabord worked out. I need to order some more and try a few more pieces with it. In the meantime I have some nice art board here I need to use. My next piece (I think) is probably going to be a little bit more mythical / fantasy-art themed. I'm still thinking about what it's going to be, but I expect to start something in the next day or two at most.
For those of you unfamiliar with the pangolin, it's an amazing and unique creature found in Asia and Africa. Also known as the scaly anteater, there are several varieties of the animal - including the ground pangolin, the tree pangolin, the giant pangolin and several others. Sadly, it's extremely endangered in Asia due to poaching and habitat loss. Its meat is considered a delicacy, and in addition, it's used in many Chinese traditional medicines and is believed to have many magical powers / charms. The pangolin can roll itself into a tight ball when threatened, where it's armored scales (made of keratin) protect it from harm. Once rolled up, it takes considerable force to unroll it.
