Latest ATC: The Swimmer

For those of you not familiar with Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) they are miniature works of art created on 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches or 64 X 89 mm card stock (or about the size of a modern baseball card).

Artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann is credited in many circles with popularizing the modern artist trading card in 1996 by  holding trading sessions in Zurich, Switzerland. To see some examples of ATCs or to read up on the history of ATCs in general, please visit the original ATC trading card site on the internet.

ATCs have been popular amongst artists since this time as a way of trading art with each other. I recently joined an ATC group with some fellow artists whom I'll be trading with. I made my first one for an artist working out of Indiana last night. I thought I would try doing one in my paper mosaic style. It's a bit of a challenge to work on such a small scale but I think I am happy with the results.
