Work in Progress: War Horse

I have been thinking about doing this piece for a while now and had even prepared the background on the paper a month or so ago, using ink, coffee and red wine. However, I finally started the over drawing the other day. I'm only a little bit into it so far, as you can see. It's a fairly large piece at 22 x 30 inches, since the cross-hatching effect is a time-consuming process, this may take a little while to complete. The lighting was not very good when I took these photos but it should give you an idea of what I'm working on.....
