Work in Progress - "Totem II"

I thought I’d share my current artwork, “Totem II” while it’s still in the work in progress phase.

I have applied acrylic paint over a 12 × 12″ deep wood panel board, with some iridescent medium for effect. Currently I am inscribing ink patterns over this acrylic background with an empty mechanical pencil dipped in an ink well. I’ve also made a pen and ink scarab beetle on watercolor paper, which I’ve cut out and will be applying to the panel with acrylic medium. Once attached, I will coat the final artwork with several layers of the arcrylic gloss medium to finalize.
